Here we go!

As we begin the final and fourth quarter of the year, I encourage those who have been in all 4 quarters to gear up for a high level of weekly leadership--in other words, let's encourage the "newbies."

For those of you who have jumped on board for 12 weeks of solid encouragement and weekly challenges to "save money, calories, and time" I want you to know that you are joining a very loving and encouraging group of women from across America.

We journey together and this quarter, I am planning to get us through the toughest part of the year with the highest of standards. As we go through the holiday season--when money, calories, and time--can flit away, you will be challenged to save, conserve, and plan ahead.

So get ready for the last 12 weeks of the year are upon us! Here is where we're going:

October 7/Week 12: Prepare Your Whole Self

October 14/Week 11: Make a List of MUSTS and WONT’S

October 21/Week 10: Plan Your Start—Money Calorie and Time Savings Calendar

October 28/Week 9: Work Your Plan…Assess Your Reality

November 4/Week 8: Express Yourself (Communicate Plan to Fam/Friends)

November 11/Week 7: Engage Your Service Plan – Take Christmas to ____

November 18/Week 6: Give Thanks with your Money, Calories, and Time

  2. I am excited to begin this 4th quarter, as well! As Diana pointed out, accountability is so important, and as we head into this fall and winter, what better time to recommit and refocus?

Wishing everyone many more blessings on this journey! Thank you, Becky, for leading the way!

P.S. I just posted a message on the 3rd quarter blog spot, saying I had lost the link to the new one. Fortunately, it was in my "old mail" folder.

  5. Hello everyone,
I, too, am excited, not only for myself, but for all of you. I started 12 weeks ago and I am not the same. I am more aware of God's journey for me. I look forward to going thru this season with Joy in my heart. Thank you Becky for being an example that it can be done. Simple concepts with lasting rewards. When I got into my skinny jeans this morning I was reminded of the payoff for being committed to being healthy. I want to be all I can be for God. Thank you to the ladies who regularly blog you are such an encouragement, a gift to the rest of us.
God Bless you all. Oh, and for those of you who have trouble posting your comments keep hitting the post button and it will finally work. At least in the last quarter it would say your message didn't post and I would hit it again and then the code would pop up and you would be in. Don't try and re-write just hit the post button it might say sign in so do that and keep hitting the post button, it will work eventually.

  6. Hi Becky!!!! Last quarter was a toughie for me, but I am back and very much want to connect and participate and I am so happy that we are working towards Christmas and preparing ourselves and our hearts. Thanks so much for all you do, Steph.

PS. Yesterday I saved time, money (gas) AND calories by walking an hour while my sons had a tutoring appointment...no wasting of time and gas by driving home and then back again to get them and the walk was wonderfully refreshing!

  7. I had an excellent day today, I was productive at work, I am a nursing manager for a home health organization. I went with confidence and handle a difficult patient situation. Also, I am mentoring a nursing student who is getting her masters in nursing. Becky the younger people are my heart so working with her is amazing. I feel so fortunate to have my degree so I can help a student obtain her dream. Then tonight I went to a therapeutic journaling class which is part of my recovery process. I have been struggling with depression and I feel that is lifting and I am able to get up early again and not having to sleep. I am with the help of many going to heal these deep emotional wounds. I am down 40 pounds, I am on my way to a healthy BMI. I can get on the floor now. Please pray for my son, he suffered another loss, was hired last week and was told on Monday he was doing a good job and then was laid off on Tues. I just sat down and cried for him. My freedom in Christ team gave him 4 boxes of food that night and there was an amazing rainbow in the sky. I don't know how but I know it is going to be okay. So pray for a job for Dale. Blessings...Diana

  8. I will pray for Dale right now. By the way, it's so good to hear how your life is improving. By the way, you are a great mom and God is a great God.

  9. Hi Everyone,
I am glad to be here for the last 12 weeks. I have been around since the beginning, but the last quarter I barely made any of the calls.........God had decided to turn our life upside down over the summer. My husband was let go from his job in mid June. 3 weeks later he got 2 job offers..one in Virginia and the other in Colorado. No offers or even a small bite here in New York. So, we knew God was moving us out of New York. We put our house on the market on a Monday afternoon at 5:00 and go an offer on Saturday night!!! God is amazing!!! It has been a wonderful testimony to others as they have seen Him do miracles in our lives. My husband took the job in Colorado with Compassion International in Colorado Springs. It is so beautiful there and lots of Christians too. We are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in our lives there. We close on our house in the next two weeks.......and take about 10 days to travel cross country. I am leaving behind many many relationships.....I have been here in New York for 26 years!!! I am going to need this group over the next twelve weeks.....you all will be the one consistent thing.......I look forward to the next 12 weeks with you!!! I am going to need you all!! Anyone live in Colorado Springs???
    take care all!!!!

  10. Colorado Springs is a great place!! You will wonder what took so long for you to get there! I speak from being a native to Colorado (3rd generation) and spending 25 years of my life in Denver. Still go back several times a year to see family and ski.
I too am not the same thanks to our group. I have been able to organize my time so much better, and I am so much more aware of my health - good eating habits and exercise than ever before. Just in time for my 50th birthday next year :)
I also want to emphasize the importance of accountabiity, and of being in a Bible study weekly to have the growth and sharing of walking with Christ - TOGETHER. I believe God does give out His goodies more in the Body - knit together in love and support. He always blesses me hugely on Wed. when I go to Bible study ( I help with mentoring younger women.) We are not meant to do this on our own!
Blessings - looking forward to more growth and doing things that I have never had time to do!
